weight of a wish.

Weight of a Wish is a participatory project grounded in ideas of intention-setting, care, and quiet exchange. At its core, it explores how something intangible can be made visible and lasting through material form.

Weight of a Wish is a socially engaged project that invites individuals to reflect on their goals or intentions through a quiet, tactile gesture. Participants write down their answers to the question, "What’s one thing you hope to grow, change, or achieve this year?" These responses are then stamped onto a clay tile. Once completed and wrapped up, the clay tile is returned to the original writer as a physical reminder of their goal.

The event is the quiet moment when the clay is returned to the original writer of the goal/wish. It is a personal one-on-one gesture in a calm and familiar setting. There is no audience, no announcement, just a shared pause between two people: the giver and the receiver. The small act of return is what makes the event feel significant. It marks a transformation. It allows the person to reconnect with their goal and gives them something to hold onto, literally and emotionally.

A social conduit is a way or space through which people share ideas and messages or interact with each other. Though the act is quiet and intimate, it still facilitates a meaningful interaction between people, allowing emotions, intentions and trust to pass from one person to another.
